This is to notify all concerned that the assessment test for the course entitled
“Office Automation and Internet Technologies using AI”, offered under the Computer for All mission of Vidyasagar University, shall be conducted by the Computer Centre as per the schedule as enclosed.

The modalities of the assessment test are detailed below for information and necessary compliance by the students:

  1. All the First Semester students of 2025-26 of Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, History, Philosophy, and Sociology department are eligible to participate in the Assessment Test.
  2. The assessment shall be conducted in the form of an online Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) test through the University Learning Management System (LMS – Moodle).
  3. Students must log in to their LMS Moodle accounts using the Identity Number inscribed under the barcode on their University Identity Card at the following URL:

First time login password will be DOB of the candidate in YYYYMMDD format.

Example: username: PSLSML250017, password: as set by the candidate after their first login.

After login students will click ‘Computer for All’ under ‘My Courses’. Under ‘Computer for All’ a link will be there as Assessment Test (Date:  ). Click on the link and start the attempt. Once done, submit the paper by clicking ‘Finish attempt’, followed by ‘Submit all and Finish’.

  1. Students may attempt the assessment from anywhere, either inside or outside the University campus. A stable internet connection and a suitable digital device (LMS moodle app/mobile browser/ desktop/ laptop) are required.
  2. Total Marks of the Test will be 50 and the duration of the assessment shall be one (1) hour.

o   The test window shall remain open from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the respective examination dates. Candidates can login anytime during this period and will get 1 hour time from their respective starting time.

o   To avail the full one-hour duration, students must begin their attempt no later than 7:00 PM.

  1. Only one attempt will be permitted for each candidate.
  2. The examination shall consist of multiple sets of questions, generated randomly for different students.
  3. Students are strictly advised to refrain from adopting any unfair means during the examination. Any instance of malpractice shall be dealt with as per University rules.
  4. The results and grades shall be awarded after due evaluation, and successful candidates shall be issued certificates accordingly.

10.   A trial test will be made available in the LMS from 10.02.2026 to 15.02.2026 for all students.
Students are
strongly advised to attempt the trial test to familiarize themselves with the system and examination process.

11.   In case of any temporary disruption in internet connectivity, students are advised not to close the browser or application. The test will resume from the point where it was interrupted once the internet connection is restored, and no examination time will be deducted for such interruptions.
